I love nailpolish. I think I own more nail polish than I could ever wear, but one thing that drives me bananas is seeing people (myself included) wearing nail polish with not cared for nails: cuticles all over, dry skin and uneven nails.
So to make sure my nail polish looks amazing I follow some nail-care basics easy steps that I wanted to share with you.
- Every night, before going to bed I rub a couple of drops of argan oil into your cuticles and the skin surrounding my nails (I am currently using and loving Josie Maran’s). Of course, I put a rich hand lotion (LUSH Charity Pot has truly done wonders)
- I get a manicure every week and by that I mean I either go get one done professionally or do it at home. I make sure to remove all my cuticles, file my nails and soak them up in olive oil (yes it’s awesome.) I exfoliate my hands regularly. Ocean Salut by LUSH does a great job at exfoliating yet keeping my hands soft.
- Other than my regular multivitamins I also take Biotin daily which is supposed to strengthen not only you nails but your hair as well!
- Spring is just around the corner so hopefully we won’t have to deal with this much longer, but if you go out in the coldness always wear gloves. This will protect your hands and consequently your nails to dry out. Also, if you are washing the dishes, make sure you also wear gloves (the rubber ones though
- Last but not least..I usually take a nail polish break once a week. I would take off my nail polish and go to bed nail polishless (which is really hard, because I my hands feel naked to me if I am not wearing nail polish) and would just put it on the day after.

People who know me well are aware that I am organizationally challenged. Don’t get me wrong, I have tons of to-do lists and always manage to get things done but as far as organizing material things goes, I really stink.
As a result, everything around me is usually a mess, especially my purses…filled with a bunch of stuff and whenever I need something I can never find it in the middle of that jungle..

First of all, sorry for being completely MIA for a bit. Life got in the way and between work and other things I haven’t been able to dedicate any time to do my favorite thing…blogging.
